No one should have to choose between safety and the pet who loves them.
Candice builds projects other people can pick up and run with. That's how one idea turns into many.

Linus' Pet Haven
Many shelters don't accept pets, and many survivors won't leave without them. Linus' Pet Haven, a program of Alexandra House in Blaine, gives survivors pet-friendly rooms and outdoor pet relief space so they can keep their animals with them.
It's named for Linus, the bulldog Candice refused to leave behind. It opened in January 2025 after about a year of fundraising, partnerships and renovations, and it was built to be copied. Stepping Stones homeless shelter has already adopted a similar approach.
